About Us

Ancillary Staff
The Ancillary Staff of secretary, caretaker, cleaning staff and Breakfast Club assistants are an integral and vital part of the school team also.
Parish Chaplain
The parish chaplain works closely with the Communion and Confirmation classes throughout the year to support both the children and their parents in their preparation for the Sacraments and to encourage the teaching of Christian values to all classes.
Parents
In St Vincent's, parents are very much valued as partners in their child's education. They support us in our work with their children and have been involved with various initiatives throughout the years, largely due to the work of the Home School Community Scheme in building bonds of trust between the school and parent community. Some of the areas they have contributed to are as follows:
Policy-formation in areas such as-
Anti-Bullying, Homework, Healthy Eating, Head Lice, Mobile Phones, Relationships and Sexuality and Code of Good Behaviour
Fundraising activities
Accompanying classes on School Tours and outings
Shared Maths
Paired Reading
As a school, we welcome the input of organisations from the wider community in which the children live, especially if this gives them the opportunity to experience role-modelling from the world of work. To this end, the 'Junior Achievement Project' has become an annual feature of the school calendar, and volunteers from the business world share their experiences of working from the perspectives of a variety of careers.
